Windsurfing - Bariloche
DESCRIPTION
This extreme sport is described by many people as the ideal activity for a place as windy as Patagonia. And Bariloche, apart from being a place where this sport is constantly practiced by athletes and fans, is home for competitions every summer. The “Bariloche Classic” event takes place in January and February on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, and gathers the world's leading windsurfers and best windsurfing professionals. Windsurfing is an extreme sport that has attracted followers in our country for many years, and Bariloche is considered a Mecca for windsurfers because of its winds varying at 37 mph (60 km/h). As a result, the waves of Lake Nahuel Huapi rise up to 10 feet (3 meters) high, providing the ideal environment for sailing lovers. This makes windsurfing an incomparable sport, and, as there are different levels of difficulty, anyone can practice it. If you're interested and it's going to be your first time, make your way to Nahuel Huapi's main lakeside, where you'll find windsurfing schools and the necessary equipment to get started.
