P. Quetrihue - Villa la Angostura
DESCRIPTION
In order to get to Quetrihué Peninsula, you have to walk from Villa La Angostura's port and follow the trail that leads to Lake Nahuel Huapi. After only 7.5 miles (12 km), you'll get to Arrayanes Forest, a unique place due to the characteristic cinnamon-colored trees. The trail that leads to the woods is a peaceful one, and all along you'll see local species such as coihue trees, lauras, maquis, and creepers such as mutisia reina, of an orange tone, or mutisia virreina, of a purplish tone, as well as orchids and other beautiful species. If you're planning a trip around Villa La Angostura, don't miss this excursion. If possible, you should go with an official guide. Remember to make a stop at the overlook for a panoramic view of Lake Nahuel Huapi, Brava Bay, Fray Menéndez Island and the mountain range that borders Chile.
